What is Core Rehab?

Our core rehab program is based on the course by Core Exercise Solutions, which is aimed at helping postpartum mothers recover their core function after babies. Both Dr. Allison and Krista are PCES certified and are able to assess core muscle function and level of diastasis. The exercises provided are safe for any stage of pregnancy or post-partum. Our goal is to improve breathing biomechanics and automatic muscle activation patterns in order to be able to advance to more challenging exercise safely and with proper form.

While our core rehab training is primarily aimed at post-partum women, anyone can benefit from this rehab (even men)! We assess to see how your core muscle are functioning and your breathing biomechanics to determine the best exercises to help safely and effectively improve your core strength and tone without compromising your pelvic floor or diastasis weaknesses.

Dr. Allison is also Hypopressive level 1 certified and incorporates hypopressives into her core rehab program. Hypopressives (low pressure fitness) is used around the world to help those suffering with pelvic organ prolapse to regain muscle tone in their core while relieving pressure on the pelvic floor. It is also useful for rib expansion, diaphragm strengthening and overall strength and breath work.

Who can benefit from Core Rehab?

Anyone who:

  • Wants to improve their core strength safely and effectively with proper muscle activation
