Dr. Allison Knelsen, Chiropractor
I was born and raised in Three Hills, AB. After high school I went to RDC for 2 years and played basketball for the Queens. During that time I worked at Camp L. G. Barnes by Gull Lake in the summer. I went to U of A for a year and then went down to Minnesota to pursue my dream of becoming a chiropractor. While I was there, I married my high school sweet heart and then graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with my Doctor of Chiropractic and my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, in 2012.
While I was in chiropractic school, I developed and interest in the field of Functional Neurology. There was a Functional Neurology club at my school and then my friend and I decided to go try out a seminar. I was immediately hooked. In 2015, after 300 hours of seminars I passed my diplomate exam in Functional Neurology through the ACNB.
After graduating from Northwestern, my husband and I moved to Sylvan Lake, where I started practicing at Sylvan Lake Chiropractic. I worked there for 5 years and then moved to Trinity Chiropractic in Red Deer. During those 10 years, I carried and delivered 4 beautiful children. Now that they are getting a bit older, we decided Sylvan Lake was the place we wanted to call home and that this was the town I wanted to serve with my services. So we decided to put down roots and open Hope Wellness Clinic.
Having dealt with a lot of my own health issues over the years, I am passionate about helping those who don’t know where else to turn for answers. I don’t always have all the answers, but I have compassion and a desire to walk with people who are suffering. I am passionate about listening intently and researching things I don’t understand. My goal is to walk along side my patients and try as best I can to point them toward answers that will lead to a healthy fulfilling life. I believe, no matter what the problem, there is always hope.
