Pamela Armstrong, Thompson Breastfeeding Educator
I am Pam Armstrong and I am the face and the founder of Tandem Breastfeeding Co., as well as sister to Dr. Allison Knelsen!
I am so excited for the grand collision of my current realities and life experience as a mom to 3 SETS of TWINS (yup you read that right!!) and my previous history as a labor and delivery RN to bring brand new breastfeeding education to mothers locally and online!!
I have completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alberta and have a history working as a Registered Nurse in a Labor, Delivery and Postpartum Unit. I am now a Certified Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator and am in the process of bringing more education to the table of my practice!!
I will be teaching The Thompson Method’s Beautiful Breastfeeding Prenatal program and will work in tandem with you as you embark on your unique breastfeeding journey. I am most passionate about helping pregnant and postpartum mothers navigate their unique journey with birth and breastfeeding twins, multiples and single babies too. Education, preparation and navigation of each unique mother’s journey is most essential! This can be for first time moms, or seasoned many-times over moms that have had struggles in the past. There is a way!!!
I have ample expertise in this area as I have birthed and breastfed 3 sets of fraternal twins successfully for over a year!! I live in Red Deer, Alberta Canada with my superhero-status husband and my 3 sets of twins ages 12, 8 and 3!
When I am not helping women with breastfeeding, you will find me fermenting, preparing and baking wholesome foods, tinctures and salves from scratch in a flurry of gluten free, allergy friendly flours. You will also find me in my garden or adventuring with my stellar family- coffee and kombucha in hand.
I am ready and looking forward to connecting with you on your breastfeeding journey! Stay tuned for more information on group or private classes!!nit clerk certification. She has worked as a nanny and has worked reception at other offices in Sylvan, so if you are from Sylvan, you may recognize her!
She loves her two big dogs, and most people who meet her already know about them before they get to know her. Every year her and her dogs go dog sledding, so if you see them out on one of the hills in town, give them a wave! She loves Christmas more than any season so you will find her in ugly sweaters long before Christmas and counting down till then.
